Welcome!
Margie Jackson, a native Texan patiently waited for the school year to end in 1970
to move her family on the farm of over 500 acres. Being very primitive at the time, there
was much to do. Along with her two sons, Mark and Eric, the home was built and
improvements to the land continued. The boys became men, and the farm became a ranch known
for the raising of Red Brangus Cattle and Coastal Hay. The ranch includes and is
surrounded by the beautiful woods of East Texas. In the spring when the dogwoods bloom, it
is breathtaking.
Throughout the years, the Jacksons had friends and guests of their friends visit
the ranch for trail rides, especially in the spring when the dogwoods were in bloom and
became known as the "Dogwood Ride."
In 1991, a hunting camp was built. the camp house now has separate sleeping
quarters, a complete kitchen, a walk in cooler, and a covered area for dining; perfect for
visiting, relaxing, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
When hunting season would come to an end, the camp house would then be used for
parties to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, July 4th, and get togethers with friends
and family.
With the help and support of Margie's sons (Eric and Mark), daughter in law
(Donna), grandsons (Ray "Booger" Jackson), (Charles Taylor "Tooter"
Jackson), and friends, a dream of over 40 years is now becoming a reality.
